Farewell our friend
Winchester Jordan
1970 - 2024
Winchester has been a wonderful member of the Blue Sky family for well over a decade. His booming voice, confident manner and constant references to obscure 70s and 80s pop culture will be missed along with the thousands of other things about him that made him wholly unique. He was an integral and loved part of our team and family.
This page is made in his memory and is intended to be filled with memories. If you would like to contribute a story, sentiment or picture, please email them to jacob@blueskyevo.com.

A Note From Jeremy
Winchester was an amazing co-worker and an even better friend. He truly was one of the most interesting people that I’ve had the pleasure of knowing.
Although we didn’t see eye to eye on many political issues, that never hindered our friendship. We shared our views openly, and there were times when he even managed to convince me that his perspective was the right one.
I often confided in him during moments of uncertainty in my personal life. He always offered his advice or at least cheered me up with some humor.
While we sometimes found ourselves in heated debates over work-related matters, I admired his ability to gracefully admit when he was wrong.
Winchester was a generous person. He would share his snacks with me when I was hungry, and he did the same for others, even though it was a bit frustrating that he never accepted anything in return. He always insisted on paying the bill after meals, never expecting reimbursement. He would say, “Hey, you have a family to take care of.”
Winchester was there to lift me up when I fell—quite literally. I’ll never forget the time he picked me up off the ground and drove me home after I suffered an epileptic seizure.
Winchester and his girlfriend, Joi, love animals. Joi fostered any animal in need of a home, and it was Winchester who found our beloved pet cat, “Meow-Meow”, abandoned in the parking lot.
If you asked him or not, he would share tips and remedies for just about anything I asked him about—whether it was cars, diet, or fixing a hole in the drywall at home. He was the go-to expert for nearly everything.
I will never forget Winchester’s resounding, boisterous laugh that could be heard throughout the office. He was the kind of guy who would laugh at any silly joke you told, even if it wasn’t funny. I remember one of the first pieces of advice he gave me was, “Speak from your diaphragm,” even though we were speaking into a microphone that was right in front of us.
Winchester had a mistrust of doctors, which is a thought that lingers with me now. Maybe they could have saved him in the end.
Goodbye Winchester. Hoorah.

Sending my thoughts, prayers and love to the Jordan Family. Winchester was a good childhood friend of mine. I have so many fond and fun memories with and of Winchester. He and his brother, Leslie, were the closest of friends. Even when I moved to another city not too far away when i was 10, I was still very close to him and Leslie and his parents were always so kind and dear to me. We were always playing alot of board games and doing so many outdoor activities, such biking and hiking and many amazing road trips with his family. During a few times when I came back to Louisiana I visited Winchesterand we reconnected! Rest in Peace, Winchester. Good Bless you and your family. You were always a dear friend and very kind soul.
Your good friend, Jonathan Wilcox

Have you ever met someone odd, but they were YOUR kind of odd? I was told that "you're not anti-social, you just haven't met your
people. Winchester was MY odd and MY people. From the day of my final interview at Blue Sky with Rene, I was told, "we even have someone
from New Orleans that works here already". I had my thoughts, but I was looking forward to it.
On my first day, I remember hearing someone making a reference to a very obscure movie. (I believe it was The Phantom Tollbooth) Everyone looked so confused and I remember shouting, "I got that reference"! That person was Winchester and from that moment, I knew we were friends. I didn't find out until later that he was the other New Orleanian that Rene was speaking of.
We were friends both on and off the clock. We talked about food, home, comics, anime, music, movies. Even when I was being coached and
trained, it never felt like work when he was around. He even relied on me to tell him about our team, the New Orleans Saints because he
was so heartbroken about the 2019 NFC Championship no call against the Rams , that he never watched another Saints game.
My most cherished memory of Win happened by complete accident. If you know Winchester, he would always agree with you by saying "Hoo-Rah". Well one day, I don't how Win, Noah, and I got on the topic of the movie Shrek 2 of all things but after the conversation was over Win said "Hoo-Rah". Noah joked and said it backwards, "Rah-Hoo" and I just blurted out "DONKEY"! Winchester and I laughed so hard it
brought us to tears. From that day forward, that was the way we ended every conversation and said goodbye to each other. "Hoo-Rah, Rah-Hoo, DONKEY"!
He was a kind, wise, and selfless person who often put others before himself. I'm a better person for knowing him and the world would be a better place with more Winchester Jordan's in it.
So instead of saying goodbye to a good friend, I'll say what we always said...
"Hoo-Rah, Rah-Hoo, DONKEY"!

I had the privilege of meeting Winchester through work, and my immediate impression of him was that he was a truly unique individual in many ways. We shared several conversations about various topics, and I was always struck by the depth of his knowledge on each subject. He would share very particular points of view that would cause you to question your own convictions, and he always found a reason to smile.
Although I did not know him as long as others, it was clear that Winchester was deeply loved by those close to him, and it was always a great day when he was around. I will miss him a great deal.
As he was fond of saying, "Be well sir."
